4. Health Guarantee
The Seller certifies that the Dog is in good health at the time of sale. The Dog has received age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a veterinary health check. Buyer agrees to have the Dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within seventy-two (72) hours of possession. If a serious health issue is diagnosed during this period, Buyer may return the Dog for a full refund or replacement.
5. Disclosure of Breed-Specific Traits & Risks
All breeding dogs at New England American Labrador Retrievers have undergone comprehensive DNA testing for breed identification, health conditions, and physical traits.
Breed Identification: 100% Labrador Retriever
Health Screening: Over 200 genetic health conditions screened; no conditions detected in breeding dogs
Physical Traits: All Tribe of Levi puppies carry dilute alleles, resulting in unique coat variations
6. Carrier Status
All New England American Labrador Retriever’s breeding dogs are confirmed to be non-carriers for recessive genetic conditions.
7. Registration & Sterilization
Limited Registration: All puppies are sold with Limited Registration through [Registry Name, e.g., ACA], which prohibits breeding and confirmation showing.
Spay/Neuter Requirement: Buyer agrees to spay or neuter the Dog by [Age Requirement, e.g., 12 months], unless otherwise approved in writing by Seller. Proof of sterilization must be submitted to newenglandamericanlabradors@gmail.com
8. Buyer Responsibilities
Buyer agrees to:
Provide proper nutrition, veterinary care, and a safe, loving environment
Refrain from breeding the Dog unless explicitly approved in writing by Seller
Never sell, transfer, or surrender the Dog to a shelter or third party without notifying Seller
9. Return & Rehoming Policy
New England American Labrador Retriever’s work diligently to make sure no dog is ever left behind. If the buyer is unable to care for the dog at any time, regardless of age or circumstance, the seller requests the first chance to take back the dog. We will not refund or purchase the dog but we will absorb the expenses to get the dog back to our home.
No Judgment Clause: Buyer will not be penalized or shamed for returning the Dog.
Rehoming Commitment: Seller will evaluate and place the Dog with a suitable new family.
Shelter Donation Clause: Any adoption fee collected from the rehoming of a returned Dog will be donated to a verified shelter or rescue. A list of supported organizations is available upon request.
Care Reimbursement Clause: If the returned Dog requires financial care, those costs will be reimbursed to the Seller. Any remaining funds from rehoming will be donated.
10. Breeder’s Right of First Refusal
If Buyer can no longer keep or care for the Dog, Seller retains the first right of refusal to reclaim the Dog at no cost. Seller assumes all future care costs. Buyer agrees to transfer AKC or ACA registration and legal ownership to Seller, who then has exclusive rights to re-home the Dog. This clause is binding and non-negotiable.
11. Legal & Binding Agreement
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes will first be addressed through mediation. If mediation fails and legal action is pursued, Seller reserves the right to seek reimbursement for attorney’s fees.
