Hi...I'm Larson

Week Two Milestones

…this little boy was named after NASCAR racer #5…very much the same as puppy Byron…you could say they are on the same team. 😉 He’s fast, determined, a free thinker, but fits into the pack and makes a great team player. This little boy has been a good gainer, at 3 weeks he weighs in at 2lbs 9 Oz. He’s also a bit more boisterous and vocally will let you know he wants your attention or the attention of his litter mates.

Week Four Milestones

Larson is moving & grooving, one of the dominant pups in the pack…weighing in at 4.21, he’s slightly bigger than average. He’s hugely smart and tries to lead. He simply gets dominated by the male and female alphas of the pack. He doesn’t push it…too much…he’s happy having his place but he’s very independent too. He’s going to make a good family dog, hopefully with a forever home that’s looking for a furry family member that’s active in their lifestyle and willing to incorporate him into that mix. He’s going to love to play, socialize, and work…so if your family unit represents this kind of lifestyle, please keep an eye on this pup.

Week Six Milestones

I have to backtrack here into week 5. I started puppy pad training, not to toot my own horn, but this litter is smart and craving intellectual stimulation. So puppy pad training began a week early. Larson is a true intellectual puppy. He peed on his puppy pad day one and day two! The best accomplishment out of the litter. Go Larson…smarty pants…

Moving into week six Larson doesn’t disappoint. He weighed in at 7.8lbs. He’s a very feisty little dude. He doesn’t back down when provoked, and might be the bossiest of the bunch. I’m eager to watch him in the next few weeks. We are looking into NAVHDA training plans for all the pups and I’m betting on this one to rank. This pup is going to need a real working lifestyle, meaning he will need at least one member of his human pack to keep him busy…a runner…jogger…hiker…hunter.

I'm Ready for My Forever Home!

It's true...I'm ready for my forever home...

Larson is another one of the four boys that is feisty and ready to romp & roll. Tropical boy stuff. He’s unafraid to display dominant behavior and typically only bows to his mom, dad, and Byron. He’s still one of the smaller pups and after getting cleared for worms from our vet, we are giving Larson an extra meal separate from the pack. We think he and his brother Bowman are very fast metabolizers…they must get it from their mom.

Larson's Early Developmental Training is smooth sailing. He typically likes to watch his littermates go first…so he’s cautious with new activities, but eager to learn everything put in front of him. He loves the water, he’s almost perfect on the puppy pads, and his Bite Inhibition Training is consistent with the rest of the pack…at this point they all try to get away with it, but they understand ‘no’,and ‘leave it.’
